Heavy Ambition

Heavy Ambition

Written by Douglas Firestein

Don’t try to change me
I’m fine the way I am
There ain’t nothing wrong
With this handsome man

I drink beer for lunch
Watch the TV at night
My stomach is growing
Because I don’t exercise

I don’t wish to be strong
Just aspire to be steady
And I don’t lift weights
Cos that shit’s heavy

It’s sad but I own it
I lack real ambition
Pounding cheeseburgers
Like I’m on an mission

Empty promises
I make them all the time
It’s true there’s a problem
But I wont admit its mine

Three women left me
I must have let myself go
So it’s time to tune up
Get jacked for the hoes

I don’t wish to be strong
Just aspire to be steady
And I don’t lift weights
Cos that shit’s heavy

It’s sad and I know it
I couldn’t find ambition
Too many cheeseburgers
I had to finish

Three months later
I’m not quite ripped
It’s a 90 day diet
But 89 I slipped

I didn’t wish to be strong
Just aspired to be steady
And I didn’t lift weights
Cos that shit’s heavy

It’s sad and I know it
I couldn’t find ambition
Too many cheeseburgers
I had to finish
